2023 Week 50
  • Dec- 11 Mo - International Mountain Day
O2k-Open SupportInfo: improve Mountain slopes can be difficult, but O2 slopes can be smooth with DatLab

The default setting of Slope smoothing is 40 data points, corresponding to an interval of 80 s at a data recording interval of 2 s. DatLab 7 expresses it in data points and DatLab 8 in seconds.

Why add azide after ascorbate and TMPD when measuring Complex IV activity?

The O2 flux measured after the titration of ascorbate and TMPD is due to both CIV activity and autooxidation of these compounds. By subsequently inhibiting CIV activity with azide, the O2 flux due to autooxidation (chemical background) can be determined and subtracted from the initial measurement.
